Injustice and exploitation

Around the world millions of people live below the poverty line ($1.90 USD per day) and millions more subsist slightly above the poverty line but well below a living wage. In the slums of Kolkata this is a day to day reality.  When you poor you are far more vulnerable to exploitation and living with systemic injustice is a day to day reality. The poor have no power, no influence and no voice they are marginalised to the fringes and caught within systems that keep them trapped.
